Meaning: Part II
Your History Is So Much More Than Your Past
The Past is the past. It is not your history. The past is full of facts and sequences of events. Funny thing about the brain: once we remember an event, we then remember the memory. The event is gone.
And then we remember what we remember, which may or may not be accurate!
Pile on top of this the meanings that we attach to what little we remember. This is what history is: the past + the meanings we give it.
Look at how history has been given meaning by ourselves or those who wrote it. This is what people refer to when the say that we will see how history will remember us. Maybe it has less to do with memory and more about the meaning we give it.
What meaning have you given your past? Has that meaning made you a prisoner? You don't have to change your past to re-write your history. You don't have to be a prisoner of your history. There are options.
You deserve extraordinary results!
Peace,
Larry
